Description: This talk with introduce Apache Cassandra, a highly scalable second-generation distributed database, bringing together Dynamo’s fully distributed design and Bigtable’s ColumnFamily-based data model. Cassandra was open sourced by Facebook in 2008, and is now being developed by the Apache open source community.

Speaker: Matt Dennis is a touring the nation teaching Cassandra Deep Dive courses for Riptano, the leading expert for Apache Cassandra, providing support, training, and professional services for all things Cassandra.
